Greetings to all my fine Democrat friends! Just a reminder that our next meeting is Wednesday, the 22nd of June.
At the last meeting, Debra Cooper who is in charge of the 4th of July activities, requested that each member bring a bag of individually wrapped candy. The candy will be tossed to the children by our members who will be riding on the float. So don’t forget your candy!
Also, if you have not paid your LTDC dues, please try to do so at the meeting. Dues are only $5.00. So come join us and bring a friend! Joyce Kruse

Upcoming is the 58th annual Decatur Central Lions Club 4-H Fair, to be held nightly Wednesday-Saturday, July 6-9, on the campus of DCHS on Kentucky Ave. Decatur Democrats welcome visitors to their booth, which will feature some attractive silent auction items.
Adjacent to our booth will be the Leadership Development Institute, headed by Executive Director Joe Potesta. He will offer valuable information for the recruitment of apprentices for the Building Trades in Indiana.
The Fair’s food tent offers Pork Chop Dinners and a budget-minded ala carte menu, served by the Lions Club. The Fair is an annual homecoming event that attracts upwards of 25,000 patrons during its four-night run, with carnival rides for all ages provided by Burton Bros. Bring the family!
A neighborhood motor parade, led by the award-winning DCHS marching band, will start at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 9. Any and all Democrat office holders and ‘06 candidates are invited to participate. Call Decatur Club Vice President Jon Easter, 856-8541, for details.
Decatur Democrats do not take a summer vacation! There is simply too much to do.
Paul G. Fox, President
