Updates from the Board Meeting

- Instead of a General Membership Meeting this month, we are urging members to come to the Marion County Fair and help run our booth at the faiir. Thursday July 20th - Saturday July 29th. Weekdays 5pm-10pm, weekends 12pm-10pm.Setup will be Thursday the 20th at 10am at the fairgrounds, so come out to that if you want to help with the setup as well. The IDC is workign specifically that first Thursday night, while other clubs and groups are working other nights but help is welcome ANY day during the fair. 29th:Our booth is off the walkway to the left when you come in the entrance. If you want to sponsor a day, the cost is $100 and we urge all candidates in Marion county to help sponsor a day (you can work with other candidates to sponsor together) and come out and help work the booth on the day you sponsor. CAP Council, 30th & Arlington - August 22nd there will be no general membership meeting, but we will be having our summer cookout that day. We start serving at around 5pm. It will be held at Ft. Benjamin Harrison St. Park. Details and a map will be forthcoming.
- September 2nd: The IDC will be sponsoring the Labor Day Parade again. Stay tune for details.
- September 26th: TBA,possibly Morton Marcus about Jobs in Indiana. The article that gave the idea for this is available here.
- October 24th: TBA, possibly have the VP/Editor of the Indianapolis Star again, Dennis Ryerson, since it’s close to the Election.
- We are lookign at possibly doing a meeting at some point on ‘what it means to be a Democrat” and invite elected officials and regular everyday people to write what, to them, it means to be a Democrat. Stay tuned to the site for more details in the future.
