MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL TIME AT DECATUR TWP. 4-H FAIR
Many of you joined the Decatur Twp. Democrat Club last year at the annual Decatur Central Lions Club 4-H Fair. It is time to renew! Membership is now $5/individual or $25 Commodore Corps (booster). Our current membership roster currently stands at 312 and is growing daily!
Hard to believe, isn’t it?
Our club will have a booth at the Fair, to be held nightly starting at 5 p.m. Wednesday to Saturday, July 6 to 9, at the campus of Decatur Central High School on Kentucky Ave.
We will feature several nice gift items that have been donated to the Club, including: overnight lodging at Holiday Inn-Select/Airport and Courtyard by Marriott/Airport; tickets to American Cabaret Theatre, Indiana Repertory Theatre and the Hollywood Bar and Filmworks; luggage from Union Federal Bank; gift certificates from Indy’s Family Restaurant; gifts from Indianapolis Colts; mugs and CD holders from Regions Bank.
Check out our booth in the Lions Food Tent to see how you can win these great prizes!
We will also feature items of interest to the growing Latino community in Decatur Twp. and we expect to have bilingual persons at our booth at all times during the Fair.
Voter registration forms will be available, as usual. If you, family members or neighbors have recently moved, it will be convenient to complete this information to insure a hassle-free voting experience in ‘06 - both Primary and Fall Election.
Adjacent to our booth will be one staffed by Joe Potesta, executive director of the Leadership Development Institute, who will have essential information for men and women interested in becoming an apprentice to various Building Trades in Indiana. Please advise your acquaintances about this opportunity.
As always the Lions Food Tent will have traditional pork chop dinners, and a variety of inexpensive ala carte items and beverages. Burton Bros. will again provide an array of safe carnival experiences for all age groups. This is definitely a family affair! Advance sale discounted carnival tickets are available (20 tickets - $10) at the Kentucky Ave. Marsh Supermarket, Chuck’s Market in Valley Mills and Connie’s Market in West Newton (through Tuesday, July 5).
Come to the Fair and enjoy good company!
– Paul G. Fox,
Club President
